It's official folks, Wisconsin has hit the rainy season. I don't necessarily mind the rain, but when you combine it with cool temperatures and high winds, it's nearly as bad as being buried in snow. I was just getting used to spending most of my days outside after being cooped up all winter long. I even planted flowers, for the first time ever (I have a major case of black thumb, so it's not something I normally attempt.)
I was hoping to start on the garden next, but after checking the forecast for this week it looks like I'm going to be facing some dark and gloomy weather. Not wanting to face up to that I thought I'd bust out my own bit of sunshine, so today we have Sunshine Flowering Tea from the Persimmon Tree Tea Company.
Just looking at this tea brightened my day. My son and I spent over an hour dropping balls of tea into a cup, then pouring hot water over the top to make them bloom. My favorite part of the afternoon was watching him and the myriad of reactions he had as the tea blossomed. If he could talk he would probably tell you his favorite part of the afternoon was drinking the tea, he's a bit of an addict, especially if the tea is sweet.
After the hustle and bustle of the past few weeks, it was nice to slow down and spend an hour without a care in the world. Of course one look around my kitchen reminded me that I have three weeks worth of projects to complete, tea reviews to write, and travel plans to be made. I'll be spending an alarming amount of time out of town between now and July— six full weeks and three of those will be without my husband. I don't want to think about that yet, so for now I'm going to go drink another cup of flowering tea.

Would I order this again? Yes. Sometimes buying tea isn't about the flavor, it's about the quite moments I'm able to steal and the memories I make in those moments. I could drink a lot of this tea, but it is best when shared with someone else.
In an effort to be open with my readers I want to let you know that The Persimmon Tree Tea Company has provided me with a tin of tea for review. As always, all opinions are my own.
