I've been so busy the past few days that it nearly slipped my mind— Not Starving Yet turns two today! I couldn't let this momentous occasion pass without some sort of mention (and of course cake) so I stopped by the local bakery and picked up some cupcakes to chow down on while I worked on today's post. I thought I'd give you a sneak peek at what we have planned the next few months.
What's Coming Up Next?
The Mid West Tea Festival in Kansas City is next week. Check back soon for an inside look at the event.
We'll also be reviewing my favorite stop on Route 66, Pops located in Arcadia, Oklahoma. They have a wonderful selection of hard to find soda flavors and are home to the worlds largest pop bottle. It's a fun place to stop at if you're in the Oklahoma City Metro area.
Later in June we'll be kicking off a summer series sponsored by Chocoley. Up first is a quick recipe for Magic Shell ice cream topping. Later this summer we'll be sharing our favorite ice cream recipes, just in time to help you beat the summer heat.
The Minion movie is coming out in July, is anyone else excited? We'll have some fun minion themed treats to share leading up to the movie release. My son has decided on a Minion theme for his birthday, so I've already started toying around with cake ideas that will top the Dinosaur Bones S'mores Cake and Construction Cake from his previous parties.
If my travel schedule lightens up towards the end of summer I'll have time to knock a few personal projects off my list. I'd love to start developing recipes for baked beans, fresh tortillas, as well as more body scrub recipes.
We have plenty of great recipes and reviews planned this year. Make sure you stop back often to see what we've been up to in the kitchen here at Not Starving Yet. I'm looking forward to another great year!
