These days I seem to be living in a constant sleep deprived state, which I'm sure any of you who are parents with young children can sympathize with. I've been ending the day exhausted (doubly so since this week is spring break) and waking up tired. I really need more relaxation in my life, but with the holiday coming up this weekend I won't have time for that for the next few days—we're packing up the car and heading home on Thursday, our first visit since Christmas. So instead of getting the additional sleep I've been craving I've been trying to carve aside a little time at the end of the day after everyone has gone to bed where I can unwind with a good book and a cup of herbal tea.
My most recent purchase, Exotic Ayurvedic from Golden Tips, is an herbal blend containing 16 different herbs plus green tea. I've tried a number of teas from Golden Tips lately, but this is the first one that I've considered a miss—it really isn't to my tastes, despite my love of herbal tisanes. The flavor is mild, tasting mostly of cinnamon and dust. It's an odd combination really and one that I haven't found entirely appealing. While this blend does contain a number of ingredients I generally love—rose petals, lemongrass, licorice and mint—there are just as many ingredients that I'm either unfamiliar with or have found I don't care for. It looks like this tea is destined for my giveaway box, hopefully one of my friends will enjoy it more than I have.
Would I order this again? No, this is one of those rare blends that isn't really my cup of tea.
A rich and healing blend of premium indian green tea with over 25 medicinal herbs from the Himachal valley of India. The green tea base is prepared by blending leaf green teas from the Kangra Valley & Assam. The tea is then combined with ancient herbs like Rose petals, mint, holy basil (tulsi) among others in a researched ratio to make for an extremely grassy and aromatic tea cup of tea. The tea is characteristic of an earthy aroma of rose with bright liquor in the cup and a refreshing and rejuvenating aftertaste. Extremely delicious with multiple health benefits.
