With summer slowly coming to an end I thought that I would share one last peach tea with you, even though I reviewed several of them during the month of August for national peach month. Hopefully you aren’t getting tired of them yet. Personally I don’t think I could ever tire of peach tea, it will always be one of my favorite summertime beverages. Today’s tea is one that I’ve had the opportunity to sample before, but I had rather mixed feelings about. My original notes said that when I sampled it hot I wasn’t blown away by it, but I did enjoy it. Even a year later my feelings still haven’t changed about that, I just don’t care for this tea as much when it is hot. The flavor seems much more muted and it lacks the depth I taste once the tea has cooled. As an iced tea the flavor really pops. There is a lightly floral flavor and a hint of sweet, juicy peach. So many peach teas go overboard with flavoring and you can't taste the base tea, but with this blend I can taste the Bai Mu Dan white tea, it adds some much needed depth. This is one of the few peach teas that I could see myself reordering next year. I've been drinking it for a solid week straight now and still don't find myself tiring of the flavor, something that is very rare since I'm a firm believer that variety is the spice of life.
I don’t think I’ve mentioned this before, but The Persimmon Tree offers sample sizes of all of their teas. When I first became a customer a little over a year ago, long before they started sending me tea for review, I was attracted to their company by the fact that they offer sampler packs of 5 teas for $5. It’s an inexpensive way to try out a variety of teas and find a few new blends to enjoy.
My Rating: 82/100
Would I order this again? Yes. I love the combination of floral and fruity flavors in this blend, it's a great summertime tea.
In an effort to be open with my readers I want to let you know that The Persimmon Tree Tea Company has provided me with two tins of tea for review. As always, all opinions are my own.
