Five Teas for $5 Sampler - Verdant Tea

If you aren't already aware, Verdant Tea offers a sample of their most popular loose leaf teas to new customers. You can try 5 teas for $5 and receive five 10g samples of:

Laoshan Black - The chocolate brownie and caramel flan notes with cinnamon-caramel aftertaste make this our most popular tea.

Laoshan Green - A uniquely warm and comforting fresh autumn harvest with notes of pumpkin, spice, and cream.

Hand Picked Tieguanyin - A unique and tangy batch of Gande Tieguanyin with notes of apricot and key lime pie.

Yunnan White Jasmine - Thick and luscious silver needle white perfectly melded with jasmine scenting to create a deep, complex and satisfying brew.

Shui Jin Gui Wuyi Oolong - Commandingly rich and creamy Wuyi oolong with lingering honey, orchid, and citrus caramel flavors.

Included with this is a bonus coupon good for $5 off your next order. I ordered mine not long ago when I was introduced to Verdant by fellow Steepster members. Tuesday I'll have my reviews posted on all five teas so make sure to check back.

Review:

Rather than review the 5 for $5 sampler, perhaps I should warn you instead. This sampler is a gateway drug and the included $5 coupon will insure you come back again (and again and again.) They entice you with generous samples of a variety of high quality teas and show you exactly what you have been missing out on. Honestly, this is a brilliant bit of marketing on Verdant's part and they've got me hooked. You have been warned.

I haven't mentioned it yet, but Verdant also has a loyalty rewards program. Once you sign up you can earn points in a variety of ways. These points add up quickly and are currently redeemable for either a $5 or $10 off your next purchase coupon. These coupons can be combined with sales which makes for some inexpensive tea if you are willing to put in the time to earn the rewards.

Overall Sampler Rating: 88/100 Individual reviews will be posted soon, so make sure you check back on Tuesday.

How did I arrive at that number? I added all five ratings together and divided by 5. Simple Math, even I can do it :) But seriously, check out my about page for more information about how I come to my rating numbers and feel free to contact me if you have questions.

Would I order this again? I wish I could, but the promotion is only good on your first order. I have reordered 3 of the teas from the sampler.
